BMW battery died in Business Bay – need a specialist
I'm in a bit of a bind here. Parked my BMW in Business Bay this morning and when I came back, the car was completely dead – no lights, no central locking, nothing. I managed to get a jump start from a colleague, but now the dash is lit up with warnings and the start-stop system isn't working, which I know is a sign the battery management system is confused. I've heard that BMWs need the battery to be properly registered or coded to the car's computer when it's replaced, otherwise it can cause all sorts of electrical issues. Since I'm stuck here in Business Bay, I'm looking for a mobile service that can come to me and do a proper job with the registration. If you're not sure what I'm talking about with the battery registration, you can learn more here, but essentially the car needs to know a new battery is installed to adjust the charging profile correctly. Has anyone used a mobile battery service around this area and can recommend one that does a proper job with the registration? I really need to get this sorted today before I end up stranded again.
