Whole car shakes when idling in gear, fine in neutral
I've got a 2016 Jeep Cherokee with the 2.4 liter engine. When I'm stopped at a traffic light with the car in drive, the whole vehicle shakes, and I can see the passenger seat vibrating. But as soon as I shift into neutral or park, it smooths out completely. I've replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body, no change. A friend said it could be bad engine mounts, especially the hydraulic ones that collapse. I need to find a shop that offers Master Engine Mount Abu Dhabi and can check the mounts properly. Has anyone here had this exact symptom on a KL Cherokee and found that new mounts fixed it? Also wondering if a misfire without a code could cause shaking only in gear. The car has 100k km and runs fine otherwise. Any advice on what to check first or a good shop in Abu Dhabi would be great. Thanks.
