Buying a car remotely from another emirate, how to inspect?
I found a 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser in Ras Al Khaimah that ticks all my boxes, but I live in Dubai and I can't take time off work to drive up there during the week. The seller seems decent and sent me lots of photos and a video of the car running, but I'm still nervous about sending a deposit or committing without seeing it myself. I've been trying to find a service that can go to the seller's location and do a full inspection for me, including test drive, checking for accident damage, scanning for codes, and verifying the VIN. I came across a company that offers Rapid Pre-Purchase Assessment Dubai and they said they can send someone to RAK for an extra travel fee. Has anyone here bought a car sight unseen based on a third party inspection report and felt confident? I'm worried the inspector might miss something or be in a hurry. Also wondering if I should ask for a video call during the inspection so I can see the car in real time. The Land Cruiser has 120k km and the price is fair but not a steal, so I don't think it's a scam. Any advice on how to protect myself or questions to ask the inspection company would be great. Thanks.
