UK-made drip trays for chemical storage – any good?
We just set up a new chemicals and solvents storage area at our facility in Jebel Ali, and the safety inspector made it very clear that we need proper secondary containment under all our drums. I've been looking at various options and honestly there's a lot of cheap stuff out there that looks like it would crack or degrade after a few months of exposure to our materials. A colleague who works in a similar industry recommended I check out a Trusted Drip Trays UK Made supplier in Dubai and I've got to say the quality seems noticeably different from the local alternatives I've seen. The trays are made from recycled polypropylene which is supposed to be highly resistant to chemicals and UV degradation, and some of the larger models can hold up to 120 litres which would cover any major spill scenario . They're also stackable when empty which is a nice bonus for storage efficiency. I'm mainly looking at the 45-litre size for our smaller drums, but I'm curious whether the UV resistance holds up here in the UAE sun because our storage area has some skylights and the trays will get direct sunlight for part of the day. Has anyone used these UK-made trays long-term in our climate? I'd rather spend a bit more upfront than deal with cracked trays and chemical spills later.
